I just wanted to give a quick update on the work day that we held at the new church property on November 3. We had 16 men and women come out to help us, and we got an amazing amount of work done. At about 8:00 a.m. we faced the cold weather and started clearing out some of the brush that sat between the church house and the top of the property. By the time we were finished that afternoon, we had cleared out so much that it didn’t look like the same place! We also got a lot cleared out and more worked done inside the house, which will eventually serve as our new worship area. Thanks again to those from the Fox Creek Christian Church, Willisburg Christian Church, Antioch Christian Church, Nelson Christian Church, and those of our own number who came out to help. We couldn’t have done any of it without you!
If you’re interested in taking a look at what we got accomplished, feel free to drive by the new church property at 421 Main Street and check it out, or contact Will at (606) 362-9277 with any questions or comments you might have.

As we mentioned a few weeks ago, we have recently purchased a piece of property located on 421 Main Street in Campton. It will be a great location where our church can grow and flourish in the future. Currently, we are working on making this piece of property, and specifically the house that sits on it, suitable for us to meet and worship in.
On Saturday, October 19, the men of the church participated in our first work day on the new church property. We were able to get a good start on the work inside the house. We were able to knock out some of the walls in order to expand what will be our new worship area.
Our next work day is scheduled for Saturday, November 3. We will be continuing on our work inside of the house, as well as really focusing upon some of the outside work that needs to be done, including clearing brush and tearing down some of the old buildings that sit on the property now. If you or your church group might be interested in coming and helping us on this date, you can contact Will Cooper at (606) 362-9277. (That’s Will in the photo, proving that no drywall is safe around him!)

After many months of planning, searching, false starts, and disappointments, we are finally nearing the moment we have prayed for for years. Some time this week, we will be closing on a piece of land near downtown Campton which will eventually become the new permanent home of Campton Christian Church!
The land is along Main Street just a short walk from our current meeting location, but in a more residential area. It contains about 1 1/2 acres and has a small house. We hope to make a few minor repairs to the house and begin meeting there before winter. Then, once th eland is paid for, we hope to build a new worship center on th eland and move Will (our minister) into the house.
Of course, all these plans depend on God’s blessing — and we have learned that His plans aren’t always what we plan! So we will continue to seek His will as we move forward. But we are so very excited to think that we will soon be meeting in a permanent location!
This move should open new opportunity for ministry in Wolfe County, including new classes and new means of helping folks in the community. We’ll try to keep the site updated as things happen, so keep checking back. Better yet — come and see us on Sunday morning or Tuesday evening! These are exciting times for our church!
